Two EU Safety Gate alerts cover two different headphone listings sold on Shein. Both listings were removed on September 16, 2026 after tests found substances restricted under the EU’s Restriction of Hazardous SubstancesEU rules that limit certain substances in electrical and electronic equipment.Manufacturers, importers and distributors each have duties; ask the business handling EU compliance for evidence tied to the exact model. rules. This is not a warning about every headphone on Shein. Check the listing ID, model and barcode against the records below.

What should I do if I sold or ordered one?

  • Match the product first. Use the Shein listing ID, model and barcode. A similar photo or the words “Enjoy music” are not enough.
  • Separate the exact listing from the rest of your catalog. If an identifier matches, stop placing or fulfilling new orders for that item while you check it.
  • Ask for model-specific evidence. Request the EU declaration of conformity and a lab report that covers the same model and construction, including the solder and cable materials.
  • Use the right EU contact for products already sold. Speak with the importer, responsible person or product-compliance adviser for the destination market about any customer notice, withdrawal or recall duties.

A generic certificate, or a report for a different headphone model, does not answer whether the units you bought use the same materials as the products in these alerts.

What do the alerts not say?

They do not say that every headphone sold on Shein is affected. They also do not establish that every product using “Enjoy music” came from the same factory or uses the same components.

Safety Gate records the findings and the measure taken for each named product. It does not identify your inventory from a photo, decide your role under EU product rules or replace destination-specific advice. Start with the identifiers, then trace the supplier and compliance documents for the exact units you sold or ordered.
