One substantiated serious violation can mean permanent removal.
We plan to apply the same rule to buyers and partners. A permanent-removal decision would require evidence review, an opportunity for the affected user to respond and an appeal path for mistakes. Verified identity may help prevent a removed person from registering again; a shared IP address alone would not be enough to impose a permanent ban.
The definitions, evidence thresholds and review process must be published before buyer or partner participation begins. Account sanctions remain separate from deposit claims, payment disputes and compensation.

Partner services and goods: Agreed and paid for separately. Buyers and partners would arrange commercial payments directly; Chaperon would not hold or release those payments or provide payment protection. The offer does not cover sourcing services, products, inspections or shipping.
Supplier research tools: Separate subscriptions. Insider is currently US$24.99 per month.
Chaperoned support: Planned optional human support, with scope and price agreed separately.

What is available now, and what is still being built?
Supplier checks and research tools are available now. The Sourcing Partner Network is still in development. Early-access registration records your interest; partner applications and introductions are not available yet.
What do I get by registering for early access?
Your registration helps us understand the help buyers need and recruit relevant partners. When the Network becomes available to you, your invitation will include 30 days of free Network access. Signing up does not start the trial or publish an Assignment. There is no promised launch date, match or partner reply.
Who supplies the goods, and who provides the sourcing service?
Chaperon is building the platform. A factory or trading company may sell the goods; a sourcing agent or another appropriately scoped partner may provide sourcing services. One company may perform more than one role, but its role for each Assignment would be stated clearly. You would choose whom to work with and agree the scope and commercial terms directly. Optional Chaperoned support would be scoped separately.
Can I register for a small order, personal purchase or help with an existing supplier?
Yes. You can register interest in a personal purchase, a business order or one task such as samples or an inspection. Choose one or more source countries, or remain open to suggestions. China is our first planned active source region; other countries are expansion interest and do not promise partner coverage. Registration does not guarantee a suitable partner, an accepted order size or delivery to your destination.
What information do I need to share, and who can see it?
Sign up or sign in and tell us broadly what you need help with. Designs, supplier names, exact quantities and budgets can wait. Your early-access details stay private. Nothing becomes a sourcing post automatically; you would approve the Assignment before it is shared with participating partners.
What do the planned identity and experience signals actually tell me?
They would show which checks were completed, what evidence was reviewed and what a partner is willing to disclose. Checking identity is separate from agreeing to share a real name and photo. Neither guarantees that a partner can deliver your order. The preview is a draft; the checks and disclosure rules are still being developed.
Would a partner deposit protect my payment?
Do not treat it as payment protection. A Partner Security Deposit reserved for one cooperation is under consideration, and no deposits are being collected. Custody, return and deduction rules still need to be established. The illustrative amount is not insurance, escrow or a promise to repay the cost of your goods.
